Scandal in 'hate' operation in Istanbul: 14 high school girls detained with their mothersIt was revealed that 14 of the 38 people detained yesterday in the operation against the Hizmet Movement under the guise of 'current structuring' were 15-year-old children.

It is learned that the girls who were detained together with their mothers during the raids in Beylikdüzü and its vicinity were taken to the Sübyan Branch of the Police Department, while the others were taken to the KOM Branch. It is stated that the detention period was 4 days and the children were released in the evening.

Speaking to Sevinç Özarslan from Kronos about the detentions, a family relative said, "They also detained my sister. We don't know why right now. They didn't give any information because the file is confidential. These are students who live in Beylikdüzü and its neighborhood. They took most of them from their homes. 10-11 police officers came to the house. They scattered everywhere. They looked inside the refrigerator. The 14 female students who were detained with their mothers are at the Subyan Branch. They took the others to KOM."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, known for its unlawful congregation operations, has issued a detention warrant for 38 people for allegedly being in contact with and affiliated with the congregation, criminalizing families meeting with each other, finding rental houses and gathering with their children in various organizations.

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror and Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau, within the scope of the so-called 'restructuring' investigations, deemed it a crime for families who were previously prosecuted in unlawful congregation investigations to help their students who came to Istanbul from different provinces to study to find rental houses. The prosecutor's office issued detention warrants under the pretext of 'restructuring' and Istanbul Security Directorate teams conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of the families. It is learned that 38 people were detained in the operation and 2 people who could not be found at their addresses are still being detained.

In its operational news report on 24.11.2020, TRT had exposed children having a picnic as 'having an organization meeting'. The following statements were used in the news report: "It was determined that there was an effort to reorganize especially among university students. University students selected among the children of Fetö members were placed in student houses. MİT and the Police cracked the organization."
